Sagar Lonial, MD, Joins Andre Goy, MD, MS, To Co-Chair PER's Historic International Congress On Hematologic Malignancies® In 2016

Leading authority in multiple myeloma research and treatment will co-chair PER’s legacy Winter Hematology® conference, now in its 20th year
 
PLAINSBORO, N.J. (August 10, 2015) — Physicians’ Education Resource®, LLC (PER®), the go-to source for oncology and hematology continuing medical education, welcomes Sagar Lonial, M.D., professor, Emory School of Medicine, executive vice chair, Department of Hematology & Medical Oncology, and chief medical officer, Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, as co-chair of the 20th Annual International Congress on Hematologic Malignancies®: Focus on Leukemias, Lymphomas and Myeloma. The Winter Hematology® conference will be held Friday through Sunday, March 18-20, 2016, at the Eden Roc Miami Beach in Miami Beach, Fla.
 
For 20 years, the annual International Congress on Hematologic Malignancies® has been a prestigious gathering of medical oncologists, hematologists and other oncology healthcare professionals eager to learn about cutting-edge treatments, continually evolving standards of care and emerging clinical data that can be immediately used to improve the care of patients with hematologic malignancies. Beginning in 2016, Dr. Lonial  will join current chair Andre Goy, M.D., M.S., who is the chairman and director, lymphoma division chief, John Theurer Cancer Center at HackensackUMC, chief science officer and director of research and innovation, Regional Cancer Care Associates LLC, both in Hackensack, N.J., and professor of medicine, Georgetown University. Together, Drs. Goy and Lonial will lead the development of a clinically impactful meeting agenda that addresses the latest advances in the treatment of hematology in a format that attendees can immediately adapt for use in their practices when they return.
 
Considered one of the country’s leading multiple myeloma experts, Dr. Lonial is working to transform the treatment of hematology with his leadership in the investigation of novel agents, including monoclonal antibodies, which represent an entirely new class of therapy.

During the congress, Drs.
