CRANBURY, N.J.--Physicians’ Education Resource® (PER®), the leading resource for oncology and hematology continuing medical education (CME), announces Hall of Fame quarterback and cancer survivor Jim Kelly as the keynote speaker for the upcoming Chemotherapy Foundation Symposium (CFS®) Innovative Cancer Therapy for Tomorrow® on November 9.
In making the announcement, Phil Talamo, president of PER® said, “We are thrilled to have Jim Kelly as the keynote speaker. His experience as a cancer patient and being ‘Kelly tough’ is such an inspirational message for healthcare providers as we work to cure the deadly disease. His keynote will be in a Q&A style to keep things engaging and energetic, and to align with the spirit of the CFS meeting.
Kelly is a prominent public speaker, Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback and a cancer survivor, who has been featured on TV shows including The Today Show, Hannity, Fox and Friends and the NFL Network. Kelly’s speeches are referred to as “Kelly tough,” which focus on his battle against squamous cell carcinoma and encourage cancer patients to keep fighting. To better engage with audience members, Kelly will be incorporating his personal speech style during the symposium.
CFS® Chemotherapy Foundation Symposium: Innovative Cancer Therapy for Tomorrow® is an educational event that brings together oncologists, hematologists, radiation oncologists, immunologists, pharmacists, oncology nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and case managers. This year’s event will be hosted at the New York Marriott Marquis in New York City from Nov. 8 to 10.
