8th Annual New York Lung Cancer Symposium® Leads The Charge Against Lung Cancer

Continuing Medical Education Company—PER—Hosts Conference Conducted by Cancer Experts   
 
Plainsboro, NJ – Nov. 5, 2013 – The go-to source for excellence in continuing medical education, Physicians’ Education Resource®, LLC (PER®), will host the 8th Annual New York Lung Cancer Symposium® on November 10 at the Crowne Plaza® Times Square-Manhattan in New York City. 
 
The 8th Annual New York Lung Cancer Symposium® is a one-day meeting that will serve as an update on advances in the field, focusing on the future of lung cancer treatment including options in early-stage care, advanced screening, and a look forward from the experts.

The symposium will be chaired by Mark G. Kris, MD, attending physician, Thoracic Oncology Service, William and Joy Ruane Chair in Thoracic Oncology, at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center New York, NY, and Roman Perez-Soler, MD, chief of oncology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY.
 
According to Dr Mark Kris, “We are in an extraordinary time in the treatment of lung cancer. Today, biopsy results and molecular data are the first steps in treatment planning. The past 5 years has seen an enormous amount of new data.” 
 
The 8th Annual New York Lung Cancer Symposium® presenters will review the latest data, discuss treatment planning and considerations for the future, and present cases from their practices.  Topics will include first line and beyond therapy options, utilizing molecular data to guide treatment, squamous cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer. 
 
This educational symposium is directed toward medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, thoracic surgeons, and pulmonologists involved in the treatment and management of patients with lung cancer.
