Value of Oncology CME

In this video, Herbert I. Hurwitz, MD; Ryan B. Corcoran, MD, PhD; Aiwu Ruth He, MD, PhD; and Prithviraj Bose, MD, discuss the importance of oncology continuing medical education (CME). This expert panel elaborates on the rapid evolution of medical oncology and the support oncology CME has in the space. Many times, clinicians have a difficult time trying to discern advances directly from the literature. CME events and online CME activities take key points from these dense pieces of literature and compose them into an understandable activity. Oncology CME builds upon information from the experts and spreads it across the continuum of knowledge. It is important for the practicing oncologist to be aware of clinical trials, possible implications, and possibilities for the future of oncology.
