New York GU™ is proud to announce our keynote speaker, Ed Randall. A former pre- and postgame host for Yankee telecasts and onetime pinch hit announcer for the great Bob Sheppard, now a legend in his own right, Ed Randall is known as one of baseball’s foremost broadcasters, interviewers, and voices. He has become synonymous with the game itself.

Perhaps best known for the critically-acclaimed “Ed Randall’s Talking Baseball”, the journalist and patron saint of baseball is truly in a league of his own. Now an equally successful radio show, “Talking Baseball” regularly entertains sports fans and athletes alike with a continual rotation of interviews with the Who’s Who of baseball. More than a newscaster, Randall is an authority on all things related to America’s Pastime. Randall also hosts the nostalgiadriven radio broadcast “Remember When” on Sirius/XM and is the author of numerous books, including “More Tales from the Yankee Dugout” and “Baseball for the Utterly Confused”.

Throughout his successful career in sports broadcasting, Randall’s most important mission remains his work as a prostate cancer survivor and advocate. Ed Randall’s Fans for the Cure is dedicated to prostate cancer awareness and the life-saving value of early detection. Fans for the Cure seeks both to save and preserve the quality of men’s lives. The organization focuses on the importance of regular checkups and baseline PSA testing as well as provides support for patient consultations, physician referrals, and educational seminars. There will be over 29,000 deaths due to prostate cancer in 2018 in the United States alone. To date, Fans for the Cure has led over 1,500 prostate cancer awareness days at ballparks all over America, providing both physician referrals and onsite PSA screenings to over 5,000 men. Fans for the Cure and Ed Randall are doing their part to reduce that number and save lives.
