CRANBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Physicians’ Education Resource® announces a collaborative partnership with the Spanish Lung Cancer Group (GECP) for PER®’s 1st Annual European Symposium on Lung Cancers™. The symposium will be held in Barcelona, Spain, on July 7-8.
In making the announcement, Phil Talamo, president of PER®, said: “It brings us great honor to work with such prominent supporters of cancer research and development. Together, we aim to educate medical professionals about newly introduced treatment strategies to better the lives of their patients.”
Spanish Lung Cancer Group is an independent nonprofit group that is focused on advancing the cure for cancer. The collaborative partnership will provide symposium attendees with information on disruptive therapeutic innovations in lung cancer and new approaches towards cancer treatment.
The 1st Annual European Symposium on Lung Cancers™ is a practical and interactive multiday program that features internationally recognized medical experts in lung cancer who will provide information on recent key studies in the field. The agenda for the symposium will focus on immunotherapy with newly diagnosed patients, combinations and new targets, second-line therapy, irAEs and biomarkers. The format will allow participants to engage in specific case-based discussions.
In addition, featured topics for the symposium include: management of immune-related adverse events, clinical data on targeted agents for other oncogenic drivers, including BRAF, MET, and RET, emergence of liquid biopsies for molecular testing, and what oncologists need to know for their optimal application, immunotherapy as a new standard of care in the first-line setting and in previously treated patients, and many others.
