CRANBURY, N.J.--Physicians’ Education Resource® (PER®), will host four continuing medical education (CME)-accredited satellite symposia during the 35th Annual Miami Breast Cancer Conference®. These programs will be held March 8-11 at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Florida, which will address pressing issues regarding pain management strategies for patients, oncologists, physicians and other medical professionals.

Borgen, M.D., chair, department of surgery, Maimonides Medical Center. Borgen will be joined by expert faculty, who will examine strategies to optimize pain management in preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative stages. - MBCC: Medical Crossfire®: How Do We Leverage PARP Inhibition Strategies in the Contemporary Treatment of Breast Cancer? Will take place March 9 at 7 a.m. The program will be chaired by Mark E. Robson, M.D., attending physician, clinical genetics and breast medicine services, clinical director, clinical genetics service, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Robson will be joined by oncology experts for this fast-paced educational event, who will share insight on therapeutic advancements in PARP inhibition and using this method to identify and mitigate the impact of treatment-related toxicities. - MBCC: Optimizing Outcomes in HER2-Positive Breast Cancer: Emerging Evidence and Practical Strategies in Early-Stage Treatment Settings, will be held March 10 at 7 a.m. The event will be chaired by Debu Tripathy, M.D., professor and chair, department of breast medical oncology, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Featured faculty of prominent oncologists will offer guidance on emerging data in HER2-positive breast cancer and implications for clinical practice. - MBCC: Bridging Bench to Bedside: The Potential for Immunotherapeutic Strategies in Breast Cancer, will take place March 11 at 7 a.m. Faculty for the program includes Rita Nanda, M.D., associate professor of medicine, co-director, breast medical oncology, The University of Chicago and Hope S. Rugo, M.D., FASCO, professor of medicine, director, breast oncology and clinical trials education, University of California, Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. Faculty members will discuss the basic immunology of breast cancer, neoantigens and breast cancer’s various subtypes to help attendees enhance their clinical skills and understanding about difficult to manage tumors.
