Oncology Consultations®: Critical Conversations Between MPN Centers of Excellence and the Community

Activity Overview

This Oncology Consultations® is a video-based program in which 2 experts use a case-based approach to discuss the treatment and management of myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). In this activity, the faculty focus on diagnosis, assessment, and management of patients with myelofibrosis and polycythemia vera. This engaging format is designed to help clinicians identify best practices in the diagnosis and management of MPNs and to improve outcomes for their patients with these diseases.

Target Audience

This educational activity is directed toward hematologists, medical oncologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, nurse navigators, and fellows who treat patients with MPNs. Physician assistants, pharmacists, researchers, and other health care professionals interested in the treatment of MPNs will also be invited to participate.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:

  • Discuss key approaches for risk stratification among patients with MPNs
  • Apply clinical trial evidence to manage clinical scenarios encountered in the management of patients with MPNs
  • Evaluate methods to address challenges in the management of MPNs, and identify opportunities for clinical trial participation among patients with these malignancies
  • Outline strategies in community practice settings to coordinate care for long-term disease monitoring and adverse event management so that optimized outcomes can be achieved among patients with MPNs
