Clinical Consultations™: Finding Opportunities to Improve the Management of Patients with Connective Tissue Disease-associated Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (CTD-PAH)

Activity Overview

This Clinical ConsultationsTM is a video-based program in which two experts use a case-based approach to discuss the treatment and management of connective tissue disease–associated pulmonary arterial hypertension (CTD-PAH). In this activity, the faculty focus on the diagnosis of CTD-PAH and current treatment strategies, as well as the role of the multidisciplinary care team in optimizing care for patients with CTD-PAH. This engaging format is designed to help clinicians identify best practices in the diagnosis and management of CTD-PAH and to improve outcomes for their patients with this disease.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for pulmonary hypertension experts, including pulmonologists, cardiologists, and rheumatologists. Other health care professionals involved in the treatment and management of patients with CTD-PAH will also be invited to participate.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:

  • Identify screening and diagnostic tests for patients at risk of CTD-PAH
  • Evaluate clinical data for current and emerging therapeutic agents for the treatment of patients with CTD-PAH
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to address the burden of CTD-PAH using shared decision-making
