Activity Overview
This video-based program is designed to help health care professionals explore treatment options for patients with primary immunodeficiency (PI) through a unique perspective: putting the patient voice front and center. A patient will lend her expertise to this program by sharing her journey living with PI. This online activity focuses on diagnostic considerations, patient- and disease-related factors that affect the use of intravenous (IVIg) or subcutaneous immunoglobulin (SCIg), and ways to individualize each patient’s treatment using a multidisciplinary team.

Target Audience
These activities are intended for an audience of immunologists, infusion nurses, pediatricians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and pharmacists involved in the dispensing and administration of immunoglobulin replacement therapy (IgG) for patients with PI.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this educational activity, you should be better prepared to:
- Discuss the disease burden of PI as related to quality of life (QOL)
- Select an optimal route of administration for immunoglobulin therapy based on clinical presentation and goals of therapy
- Analyze the efficacy and safety data regarding the use of subcutaneous immunoglobulin SCIg products in patients with PI
- Describe best practices for optimal administration of SCIg in the management of PI
- Identify appropriate infusion devices and ancillary supplies that align with patient preferences
